Our Pennsylvania State Representative in the 154th Legislative District serving Cheltenham Township, Jenkintown Borough and Springfield Township recently published his latest email newsletter. See the excerpt from his newsletter below.
His opening begins with “I’m a fairly patriotic guy.” It struck me the moment I read this passage. Forget about the spelling error that would soon follow- he described our Nation’s history as being “sorted.” I’m sure he meant something else.
Is fairly patriotic good enough?
After all, he took an Oath of Office as a Pennsylvania State Representative to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America and to uphold the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Does the gravity of swearing to uphold the values and principles outlined in both Constitutions by our elected officials require a commitment greater than “fairly?” It sure does with me.
For those who think like me there is no need to equivocate.
I am proud to be a Patriotic American!
I approve this message, Thom Estilow
