The Cheltenham Township Board of Commissioners will meet this Wednesday evening as the Public Affairs Committee. At this meeting they will vote on taking the first step towards making a law to restrict public speech at all future Township Meetings.
Yes, you read that correctly. Our government is seeking to pass a law to limit public speech. Who cares about our Constitutional First Amendment?
They attempted to take the first step last month but voted to table the issue until this month. There was not one person from the public who was in favor of this. Our voices counted last month & we need them to count again.
Please join this meeting on Wednesday evening and collectively raise our voices against this idea. We need as many people to speak out as possible. This meeting will be held via Zoom so we can join from the comfort of our homes.
