SUPERINTENDENT WAGNER MARSEILLE RESIGNS AFTER SIX YEARS

After six plus years, Cheltenham School District Superintendent has resigned his position. He informed the board in a meeting on Thursday, April 8. 

“Thank you to the Cheltenham community, staff, faculty, students, and community partners for allowing me the privilege of serving as the superintendent for a school district about which you carry a deep affinity,” he offered in his letter to the community.

In a statement, board president Joel I. Fishbein said, “I appreciate Dr. Marseille’s service and wish him well in his new endeavor. He’s left an indelible impression on this district.”

Moving forward in a thoughtful, yet expeditious manner, the board will identify and appoint an interim superintendent, and engage a consulting firm to assist them in their search for a permanent superintendent. 

The search process will include ample opportunity for community and stakeholder input about the desired characteristics of CSD’s next superintendent. The board will keep the community well informed throughout our search process.
